What is the FTN?The FAA Tracking Number (FTN) is required effective 1/13/2020 when you take the FAA Knowledge Tests. If you do not have an FTN, go to http://iacra.faa.gov/iacra/default.aspx and 'register'. You will create a profile. Once completed, an FTN will be assigned. This FTN is NOT used for your Oral and Practical testing.

Can I bring only 1 8610-2?No, if civil or military you must have 2 originals to take the exam. If part 147 school graduates, graduation certificates replace 8610-2.

If I lose my FAA Knowledge Test results?After January 13, 2020, the applicant can log into PSI and retrieve their results.

Can I take the initial General by itself?No. The initial General must be taken with either the airframe or powerplant.

If I don't get my permanent certificate in 120 days, what should I do?Please contact Riggs Aviation Services, LLC and we will advise.

Can I change DME's after my initial exam?Yes. A retake may be taken with a different DME.

Can I schedule an exam with 2 DME's?No. Only one test can be issued for any given exam.

If I fail part of the exam but pass some of it, must I retake all sections?No. The retake is for only failed sections. Passed sections are valid for 2 years.
